Melissa McCarthy expresses interest in Bridesmaids sequel

Melissa McCarthy, the actress who played Megan in the 2011 comedy film "Bridesmaids," recently expressed her interest in doing a sequel to the hit movie.

In an exclusive interview with People, McCarthy said that she would do a Bridesmaids sequel "in a heartbeat" if the opportunity arises.

McCarthy also mentioned that the original cast members, including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, and Wendi McLendon-Covey, would all be on board if a sequel were to happen.

Bridesmaids, directed by Paul Feig, was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $288 million worldwide. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards and helped launch McCarthy's career in Hollywood.

While there have been talks of a Bridesmaids sequel in the past, nothing has been confirmed yet. However, with McCarthy and the rest of the cast members willing to do a sequel, fans of the movie are hopeful that a follow-up will happen in the near future.
