As the Karnataka assembly elections approach, posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his “NaMo NaMo” chant have surfaced in various parts of the state. However, these posters have not gone down well with some people, who have accused the BJP of trying to communalize the election.

In response to these posters, a group of people in Bengaluru has put up posters of Lord Hanuman, also known as Bajrang, with the slogan “Jai Bajrang, Jai Congress.” The group claims that the BJP is trying to divide the people of Karnataka on religious lines and that the Congress is the only party that can keep the state united.

The Congress has also accused the BJP of trying to polarize the election by using religion as a tool. In a statement, the party said that the BJP was trying to divert the attention of the people from real issues like unemployment, corruption, and agrarian distress.

Meanwhile, the BJP has defended the posters and said that they were put up by the party’s supporters and not by the party itself. The party has accused Congress of indulging in vote-bank politics and said that the people of Karnataka would not fall for their tactics.

The Karnataka assembly elections are scheduled to be held in May 2023. The BJP is hoping to retain power in the state, while the Congress is looking to make a comeback after its defeat in the 2018 assembly elections.
