The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids at multiple locations in the Pulwama and Shopian districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, May 15, 2023, in connection to a terror funding case. The raids were conducted early morning and lasted for several hours.

According to sources, the NIA teams raided the houses of several suspected individuals in the two districts, including the house of a local businessman in Pulwama. The agency also seized incriminating documents and electronic gadgets during the searches.

The suspected individuals are believed to have been involved in funding terrorist activities in the region. The NIA had reportedly received specific inputs about their involvement in the case.

The NIA has been investigating several cases related to terror funding in the region. Earlier this year, the agency had arrested several individuals, including a prominent businessman, in connection to a terror funding case.

The NIA has not released any official statement about the raids conducted on Sunday. However, sources say that the agency is likely to make more arrests in the coming days based on the evidence gathered during the raids.

The raids have caused panic among the locals in the two districts. Security has been beefed up in the area to maintain law and order.
