CBI FIR claims Sameer Wankhede granted freehand to private witness in Aryan Khan case

The ongoing controversy surrounding the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) investigation into the Aryan Khan drug case has taken a new turn, as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed an FIR accusing NCB officer Sameer Wankhede of granting a “freehand” to a private witness in the case. The FIR, filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act, alleges that Wankhede acted in collusion with the witness and used his position to give undue advantage to certain individuals.

According to the CBI FIR, Sameer Wankhede, who was leading the investigation in the Aryan Khan case, allowed a private witness, Prabhakar Sail, to act as an “informant” and granted him a freehand to manipulate the investigation. The FIR further alleges that Sail, who claims to be a personal bodyguard of a witness in the case, was given undue access to the NCB’s investigation documents and was even present during the raid at the Mumbai cruise ship where Aryan Khan and others were detained.

The CBI FIR has raised serious questions about the conduct of the NCB officials and the integrity of the ongoing investigation. The FIR also accuses Sameer Wankhede of colluding with certain individuals to carry out the investigation in a biased and selective manner, targeting certain individuals while letting others off the hook.

The Aryan Khan case has already generated a lot of controversy and criticism, with many alleging that the investigation is being carried out in a vindictive and politically motivated manner. The CBI FIR has added fuel to the fire and is likely to intensify the criticism of the NCB’s handling of the case.

Meanwhile, Sameer Wankhede has denied the allegations and has accused the CBI of trying to derail the investigation. He has also claimed that Prabhakar Sail is a “conspirator” who is trying to falsely implicate him in the case.
