BJP promises Uniform Civil Code and free education for girls in Karnataka assembly elections manifesto

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections, promising to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and provide free education to girls up to the undergraduate level. The manifesto was released by BJP President JP Nadda at an event in Bengaluru on Sunday.

The BJP has promised to implement the UCC, which aims to replace personal laws based on religious customs and traditions with a common set of laws for all citizens of India. The UCC has been a long-standing demand of the BJP and is expected to be a major issue in the upcoming elections.

In addition to the UCC, the BJP has also promised to provide free education to girls up to the undergraduate level, distribute free laptops to students, and create one crore jobs in the state. The party has also pledged to provide financial assistance to farmers and ensure the welfare of all sections of society.

The BJP manifesto also focuses on improving infrastructure, including the construction of a high-speed rail network connecting major cities in the state, as well as the development of airports and seaports. The party has also promised to make Bengaluru a world-class city and develop tourism in the state.

The manifesto release event was attended by senior BJP leaders, including Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and S Jaishankar, and state BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel.

The Karnataka assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 2023, with the BJP and the Congress party being the main contenders for power in the state.
