At least 15 people were killed and several injured on Monday after a bus fell from a bridge in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, according to officials. The incident took place in the morning when the bus was traveling from Gwalior to Ahmedabad.

The bus was carrying 60 passengers at the time of the incident. The police and rescue team have reached the spot and the injured are being rushed to the nearby hospital. The death toll may rise as several passengers are still trapped inside the bus.

According to the police, the driver lost control of the bus and it fell from the bridge into a deep gorge. The rescue operation is still underway to pull out the passengers from the bus.

The injured have been shifted to the nearby hospital for medical treatment. The local administration is making all efforts to ensure that the injured receive proper medical care.

The incident has raised questions about the safety of bus travel on Indian roads, which is notorious for being accident-prone. The authorities have been urged to take necessary measures to improve the safety of the passengers.
