At least 15 people were killed and several others injured in a violent clash between two tribes in Pakistan’s restive province of Peshawar. The clash broke out over the delimitation of a coal mine in Kohat district.

According to reports, the two tribes, the  Sunnykhel and Zarghun Khel, have been at odds over the delimitation of the mine for several years. The dispute turned violent on Sunday when members of both tribes opened fire on each other.

Local police and paramilitary forces rushed to the area to control the situation, and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The clash has caused fear and panic in the area, with many residents fleeing their homes.

Peshawar has seen a surge in violence in recent years. The provincial government has condemned the incident and has ordered an inquiry into the matter. The government has also promised to take action against those responsible for the violence.

The incident has once again highlighted the need for a peaceful resolution to disputes over natural resources in the region.
